Synopsis

This was a wickedly disturbing and emotional read that captivated me from beginning to end. Bree was raised by a domineering father to be one thing and one thing only and that was to become part of the shadows that we all fear is lurking behind every corner. Bree's emotions played right off the pages and kept me transfixed on every turmoil, every tear, every smile. My heart absolutely broke for her. Wes her best friend is a man who has always had her back and wanted nothing more than to be the man she needed. With the help of Wes, Bree is able to escape and become the person she always dreamed of being. While discovering herself she meets the delicious and delectable Reid who is a stripper and also her new roommate. Alas, twists and turns arise, secrets are revealed, and romance blossoms in such unexpected ways. The characters created are wonderfully damaged and so complex. It's not too far into the book, when you start to experience the same exact emotions they are. You start to hate, you start to sympathize, and you begin to fall in love in every way. But what do you do when the consequences of your past sins finds you and turn your world upside down, you fight until your last breath. This is not a story for the faint of heart. It’s about past sins and you will not know what to do with yourself or what man is right for Bree, Wes or Reid. Do you stick with the man who has protected you your whole life or do you take a journey with a man who loves you as the person you are becoming. THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN will take the breath right out of you, and will leave you raw and wondering about the choices you have made in the past. I can't say enough about this book the writing was powerful, the storyline was amazing and unforgettable and as K.A. was a new to me author I will definitely be checking out more of her books.
